Our weekend initiative, known as Play and Learn, continues to be a fundamental part of a child’s growth and development. This flourishing program provides a dynamic and engaging space where young children develop essential cognitive, social, and motor skills through structured, play-based activities.
Held every Saturday at our community center in Rwamagana District, Nzige Sector, these interactive sessions are designed to make learning fun, effective, and impactful through play. Children participate in storytelling, creative arts, music, and group activities that promote problem-solving, teamwork, and confidence-building.
As part of these weekend activities, Bridge of Hope ensures that children receive breakfast and a meal, serving as a key motivation for their participation. However, financial challenges sometimes hinder our ability to provide meals consistently.
We warmly welcome support from individuals and partners to help sustain this initiative through financial contributions or donations of materials.
By integrating play into the learning process, we nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and passion for education. This program is an integral part of our Early Childhood Development (ECD) services, which focus on holistic child development. Through our community-based ECD center and primary school graduates from our program, nearly 80 children actively participate in our weekend activities.
The impact of Play and Learn is evident through positive feedback from parents and children. Parents have observed improved communication skills, better social interactions, and enhanced problem-solving abilities in their children. These sessions play a crucial role in early childhood stimulation, ensuring that young learners are well-prepared for the next stages of their education.
At Bridge of Hope, we are committed to expanding these opportunities to home-based ECDs, ensuring that every child has access to quality early education and engaging play-based learning experiences.
Through Play and Learn, we are not just educating children we are shaping confident, capable, and well-prepared young learners who are ready to thrive in school and beyond!
Special thanks to our Partners, caregivers, volunteers, parents, and community members who work closely with us to ensure that children enjoy and benefit from the services we provide.
Your dedication and support are helping transform young lives and build a positive future!
