EDUCATION
The development of a child in the early years is crucial to the overall health and future prospect of the child. Unfortunately, in Rwanda almost 40% of young children have stunted growth. This does not only affect their physical health but their cognitive, social and emotional health. For instance, it can impend their learning abilities later on in adulthood.
Fewer than 20% of Rwandan children between the age of 3 and 6 have access to education programs.
To address these gaps Bride of Hope has established programs and activities aiming at facilitating access for children to education.
These programs include:
- Early Childhood Development / ECD

This program has been established by Bridge of Hope to allow children aged 3 to 6 to access schooling: They learn how to read, to write, to play, to be creative and to get to know Christian values. We provide children with food to address malnutrition issues observed among children who are attending this program.
2. Play and Learn Initiative
This initiative is a weekend program that enables us to interact with children, parents and the friends of kids through educative and playful activities such as games, mentorship programs, talent shows and character-building methods.
This initiative is conducted on a weekly basis and is open for children attending the Bridge of Hope programs.

This program aims at connecting children and parents, the youth and the volunteers in the community via educative activities like educative games. Thus, it prepares children and families to pre-primary learning as mandated by the government policy on early child education development.
The Play and Learn Initiative was implemented to serve the overall goal of parents to generate positive attitudes and motives towards the education of their children.
3. Child’s Education Sponsorship.

This is our unique program that enables us to connect children in need with compassionate individuals who are willing to assist children in need and to give them a chance to grow up healthy, educated and safe.
While Rwandans prize education and the government has made public education available to all citizens, many children are still unable to attend school.
How is this possible while public education is free? In rural communities, many families cannot afford to send their children to school because of their inability to afford school uniforms and minor school fees or school supplies such as paper, pens and notebooks.
When a family has several children to provide for, education is a necessity that is often sacrificed.
Education is the key to the future to Rwandan children and elsewhere worldwide.
Jobs are available for those who are educated but the means to education is often a challenge. Imagine the difference you could make in the life of a child or an entire family by assisting them with the opportunity of education by providing a school uniform, shoes and school supplies.

Your sponsorship contributes to pay school fees, create a microenterprise project and to boost a weekly mentorship at our bible clubs for children.
Only 30 $ per month is required to provide for:
