Sponsoring a child through Bridge of Hope can break the cycle of barriers from children’s education. The child sponsorship is used to improve the educational opportunities of children in community we work in.
Rwandan government has made public education available to all citizens, but many children are still unable to go school due to the poverty from their families and this lead the rise of drop out because they can not afford the school supplies such as papers, pens and notebooks .trough your contribution will bring hope and change to a sponsored child’s life and community as well.
Sponsorship is a relationship where you support a child’s education, health, and overall well-being. By becoming a sponsor, you directly contribute to a child’s journey through, Kindgaten, Primary, Secondary Education and University ensuring they stay healthy and have the resources needed for their growth.
Every family faces different challenges, and through sponsorship, you can provide support to help your sponsored child overcome these obstacles. Your sponsorship allows the child to reach their full potential, both academically and spiritually, by fostering a relationship with Jesus Christ and initially becoming a contributing member of Rwandan society.
Your sponsorship donation, made annually, quarterly, or monthly, covers essential needs such as school fees, uniforms, health insurance, and more, helping the child thrive.
Your sponsorship donation directly benefits your sponsored child’s community in Rwanda, ensuring they receive essential support such as food, shelter, education, school uniforms, medical care, and health insurance.
Additionally, sponsorship provides children with the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and grow in their faith. Your donation helps address both the immediate needs and long-term challenges children face, allowing them to stay safe, flourish, and work toward a brighter future.

While it’s wonderful for your sponsored child to receive a letter with a photo, sometimes it’s hard to find the time.
You can always email a quick note with a word of introduction or encouragement.
Please include your child’s full name (first and second) along with their Bridge of Hope Identification Number to ensure proper delivery. However, remember not to include any personal information like your address, phone number, or social media details.

Yes, you can give a gift to your sponsored child on their birthday, at Christmas, or anytime you wish! We’ve made it as simple as possible for you to send a gift to your child.
Yes! Meeting your sponsored child will be an unforgettable experience for both you and the child. We take every measure to protect the children we serve, and there are special requirements that must be met before you can visit.
Visits can only be arranged with Bridge of Hope’s permission and supervision.

Ideally, sponsorship lasts until the child has completed secondary school and is prepared to either begin college or enter the workforce. As a sponsor, you will be a guiding force, an inspiration, and a provider throughout the child’s childhood and into young adulthood.
Sponsorship is a commitment to support the child until they are raised as a productive member of society. Our goal is to see these children grow up and actively contribute to their communities, which may be until they are 18 or 22 years old.
We take a unique approach by driving change from the outside in, forming long-term partnerships with everyone who influences a child’s life family members, community members, the nation, the wider world, and generous sponsors like you.
At the same time, we transform a child’s world from the inside out, empowering children at the grassroots level to become active participants and change-makers in their own lives.

Sponsored children do not receive direct cash benefits. While each Bridge of Hope Child Sponsor is connected with one child, we make the most of your donations by pooling funds to invest in long-term community development programs that transform entire areas.
By doing this, we ensure that for every child you sponsor, five more children directly benefit as well.
The families who receive our help are those who need it the most. Sponsored children are carefully chosen by people who know them best, local Bridge of Hope staff, parent’s committees and community members through our community Home Cell groups.
At Bridge of Hope, respecting the rights of parents is important to us. That’s why parents and caregivers are the only individuals allowed to register a child for sponsorship, and their involvement continues throughout the child’s participation in the program.
We conduct detailed screenings to ensure that the child selected is truly in need of support.
